Potato Clock Experiment

Did you know that you could power a clock with a potato?
This is what we used to build the potato clock

  • Two copper electrodes
  • Two zinc electrodes
  • three alligator clip wires
  • Two potatoes
  • Led clock

Things that we tried to power with the potatoes but didn't work
  • Nano bug
  • Light bulb
  • Music box from circuit set
I think this is because the potatoes did not have enough power to run these things.

What I learned:
  • Its a big huge circuit.
  • Potatoes are acting as the batteries.
  • If we take the clock out of the circuit, we could create a short circuit and make french fries!
